I was with the first guy I ever loved. We parted ways in 1976. We reconnected via Facebook in 2012 when I ran across his name & sent a friend request. I discovered his wife of 34 years was dying of ALS & my husband of almost 30 years was in a nursing home dying of the ravages of Type I DM he contracted when he was 4. In a horrible coincidence, I lost my dad to ALS in 2000. We lost both of our spouses (he in 2013, mine in 2014.) We are back together and really, really happy. He lives in Lansing; I live in GR. I retired in February from GVSU after working there for 34 years.
