1. I've noticed the same thing with my new Galaxy S5.

Over the same WiFi network, sites load much faster, and videos don't buffer near as often, as with my laptop. It may be because Android is a better OS.

2. I often get better internet speeds for my laptop when I use my Samsung 5 as a wifi hotspot.

My internet isn't very good at this location, the mobile/4g connection can be super speedy.

It could depend on the lappie. Even 3 years old can be slow these days! Maybe clean it up and empty the cache a bit or sumfin.

3. My Galaxy 5 is faster even when it's using the same WiFi as the laptop.

My Roku also uses the same WiFi and Netflix rarely buffers anything (other than the usual short buffering period at the start of a movie).

I can be sitting right next to the laptop and the Galaxy is much faster.

Microsoft was ALWAYS known for making products that don't work well. I think that's a big part of the equation here.

7. I have a Galaxy S6. It's the best phone I've ever had.

The image quality is amazing from the camera. I had an HTC One and it had the worst camera I've ever used on a phone. The image quality on my S6 is better than some $800 SLR's that I've seen.
