That would be me. I might be available, based on location.

Might know some people available otherwise.

The bartenders can smuggle all the Scottish ale and tasty, tasty single malt I want down to the kitchen but god forbid I'm seen topside, even in my civvies. Our owners are weird...on the flip side the great quasi-dive around the corner knows us REAL well!

Just check any Fairway for just about the whole spectrum...if it's not in the store I guarantee you can find it in a bar, Midas Touch by the pint is a dangerous thing indeed..

I worked in restaurants of all types for over twenty years. I was a private chef for a short time. I'm a stay at home mom now but have been thinking about starting a personal chef service that might fit my life schedule.

I do miss working with kitchen people and love to eat and share good food. I also like to boss people around.

I will say you're past your prime for line work, as I'm sure you'd agree, but personal cheffing is a great choice! Le me know if you do want to run with it and need advice, contacts, resources, anything...I like to think I'm fairly well networked in the industry.

I am in northern Illinois in a city under 200,000 people. Connections are easily made in a place this size. I'm just not sure of my level of dedication of working outside the house. I'm homeschooling my son for kindergarten because the public schools here are some of the worst in the state. I am also 57,000 words into writing my first novel. I am looking to add about 20,000 more words to finish my first draft. Hopefully by this time next year it will be done and all my energy will be put into getting my book published.

Again, thanks for trying to be helpful.

How can you drink, cook, AND post on DU with that kind of volume?

I can see the drinking and cooking, but you must be some kind of awesome multitasker!.
