1st full day back from 4 day hospital stay

Had my worst MS flareup since diagnosis in '97. Never a hospital stay, ever. Still fighting with insurance over my L3-L4 fusion last September over BMP substance used by surgeon during surgery. They approved the procedure, but the $5k for the material is approved-BUT is approved for leg fractures! WTF? In my 2nd appeal process now, and am going straight to OPM for further appeal since I am a Fed.
Holding my breathe over the last test I had to have run.
During all the tests I was put through, a lung spot was located. Biopsy was done and am waiting for results and praying. Really difficult for me now. Tearing up for no apparent reason. Talking low. Not raising my voice at anything. Praying.

Thats half the battle...

...now on to the sucky insurance issues (That should never be part of anyone's recovery). So much stress just when it's almost impossible to focus.

Deep breaths. Try to meditate if you can (prayers can be soothing instead/as well).

You are loved and have all of DU to lean on.

Big vibes coming your way for a fast, peaceful recovery with no speed bumps along the way

to make sure all materials used are approved by your insurance. I'm sure he/she was compensated well, so don't sweat the $5K. Let them do the haggling. They have employees for that. If your insurance refuses to pay, they can eat it. They can't repo your back.

I'm sorry to hear about your MS flair. Have you read any of Dr. Terry Wahl's stuff. She is an MD and has MS herself. She's had good results with following a particular diet. Here is her website:
