(11,364 posts)They were pretty clouds, and you could see the glow of the moon behind them at times, but it was impossible to see the eclipse.

(28,394 posts)I watched until it disappeared, but didn't see any red glow. Too bad we didn't have the cloudless sky of the previous night.

(14,881 posts)I just wish it had been earlier in the evening. I would have been able to stay outside for the whole thing and the moon was much bigger when it was just over the horizon at 8pm or so than it was 2 hours later!

(254 posts)This neck of the woods was socked in solid by rain clouds all day and night, probably all of today & tomorrow too.
Been a damn wet September, feels like living in a swamp.

(5,260 posts)Highrise buildings wouldn't get out of my way. During the few breaks in the clouds, the moon was still a silver dollar. Then the cloud cover closed ranks.

(95,337 posts)Two days where I stood for about 12-14 hours which also includes about 10 miles of walking.
I got home around 8:30 last night and crashed.
Totally forgot about it but I'm going to be around for the next one!!

(46,763 posts)Thought about it for a second. Then decided against it. If my right-wing neighbors saw me out in the street at night, looking skyward, they probably would have thought I was beaming in alien terrorists and would have shot me.

(29,414 posts)that will make The Fucking Moon eclipse seem like nothing at all. And thus, I don't give a shit if I have to "wait" to see the next one
Here's a little more on that explanation, too
we can do it
(12,202 posts)Saw a fleeting glimpse of pink twice during totality. Several longer looks as it was leading up to it.

(66,468 posts)Beautiful clear skies. The blood moon phase was dim and a little hard to see while near the horizon. As the moon rose, it got brighter and whiter. The last time I looked, the eclipse was nearly over, with just a small crescent missing from the upper left portion of the lunar disc.
Cool stuff...
