Daily Holidays - October 3

National Techies Day The day was created to encourage students to learn more about a career in technology and to address the nationwide need for qualified technology workers and to recognize the contributions that tech professionals make to education. There is always a need for skilled technology professionals. http://nationaldaycalendar.com/national-techies-day-october-3/

World Card Making Day People give each other cards to celebrate birthdays, weddings, achievements and more, as well as to commiserate or support. But how much does your sentiment mean, if it’s simply bought from a retail chain with little thought? Take some time this Card Making Day and create something heartfelt from scratch, and show the recipient that you’ve really thought about them. https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/card-making-day/

(I think the hummers have migrated by now though and I only see a random butterfly. I did have a monarch this year and a couple of caterpillars on the milkweed!)

that the hummers are heading south. I know the two (we named them flity & sitty as that is how they would visit the feeder) that we often saw have been gone a couple of weeks now.

There was to be a Monarch thing at the nearby Audubon Center but I believe it was cancelled for the day.
