..called "Degenerate Art". It's specifically about pipe blowing, and some of the art they make is amazing. It's on Netflix.

That's really, art.

Now that I've done some digging, I never knew about Dale Chihuly as a world renowned glass blowing artist. He has a museum and studio in the Seattle and Tacoma area.

Picture of some things on his FB page:

I feel like some kind of dullard, not knowing about him.

The Hotshop show was done in 2007 or 2008...the music was all Tom Tom Club. Hope I can see it again.

Some folks can really make amazing creations. And imagine the tension involved when you consider one wrong move could spell disaster!

I came in to ask if it was Chihuly. Yeah, that was fascinating. Kinda made me want to learn how to do it but I took up leather working instead. I THOUGHT it would be cheaper than glass blowing lol. It may or may not be cheaper but I can do it in air conditioning.

That assessment comes from thirty years working with glass. The design part was deliciously challenging, when the hoped for outcome had the light breaking a certain way through the piece. I had to quit when an illness left my hands with diminished feeling and I had to go on oxygen therapy. Lots of designs in my head that I'd never gotten around to doing, and I still miss the work. My nephew treated me to a visit to the glass museum in Tacoma; it was gorgeous, a visual delight that I would gladly experience again and again. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for those programs on PBS, thanks for the headsup.

It was all so amazing...the channel ran the Hotshop program which was an hour and a half...then ran the Pilchuck, A Dance with Fire, which was released this year (an hour)...I couldn't pull myself away.

I will now make it a point to seek out some of his works, when I can get myself to Seattle.
