A good balance between art and pop. Just One Victory and Real Man are favorites of mine.

Piano bass and drums quietly doing wonderful things make a great backdrop to conversation. Cole was a magician on piano. Cole was recorded a lot.

Smuggler's Blues, The Heat Is On, etc

Softer stuff: Stephen Bishop, On And On, etc.

Or get really classic and put on Revolver by the Beatles.

Pretty much anything by them, though I'd recommend some albums from the Bob Welch & earlier era, like Mystery To Me, Bare Trees, Heroes Are Hard To Find, Kiln House...

Wishbone Ash - "Argus" and "Four"

Dire Straits - 1st album and "Making Movies"

...if you don't mind going on the obscure side. Especially their first two albums "Gramophone Logic" and "Dissecticide" are fantastic.
