I work for a company that does not allow cell phone use inside its building. We can listen to music, but we have to use a little radio or old-school mp3 player.
I've been looking for a new one, so I flipped through prices at Best Buy's site.
This one made me look twice. I don't know if it's one of those super high quality types, like the one Neil Young made. The price may even be a typo. Still, it's a tad over my price range:

(14,400 posts)music player, like the Pono from Neil Young only to a much higher degree. Pono is only $400 not $1200.
Not a typo, I've never met anyone that's actually used one but some music snobs will swear they hear the difference. I think most of them are just trying to justify dropping that kind of money for an MP3 player.
Basically from what I've heard is that they are pretty much useless and not worth anything close to the money they're asking for.
