The Daily Show Tapings

I am going to be in New York in the new year with several colleagues from South Africa and they really want to see Trevor Noah while they are here.

Reading the Comedy Central website however is a little ominous: https://www.showclix.com/event/TheDailyShowwithTrevorNoah

Is this a matter of managing expectations or is it really likely that they could freeze their asses off, waste their only free evening and not get in?

Any first-hand experiences with this process?
