I just entered my manuscript in a contest.

There is a small press that is running a contest for nonfiction manuscripts. They publish a lot of short story collections so I figured this contest was right up my alley as I have a boatload of creative nonfiction short stories. The prize is a $12,000 advance, my work would be published, and I would get help in getting the work ready for publication. Sounds excellent to me.
