Abe had such a wonderful sense of humor about his late in life notoriety for not being dead yet.

But good lord, I would have sworn he was at least in his mid-60's when he was doing Barney Miller and Fish... The way he walked and moved would have actually hurt in someone who wasn't already at (or at least near) that level of decrepitude.

He had "tired old fart" down perfectly.
