32. In Texas, Shipley's is King of the Do-Nuts.
krispy kreme locations exploded across the area when they exploded across the rest of the country. And just as quickly imploded in Texas. I know people that loved them, but they were just too sweet! That's why I prefer Shipley's (and sometimes a local "gourmet" donut shop, River Oaks Donuts.) |

The old-fashioned donuts are cake donuts, and like you said, just irregularly-shaped. I wish I had one right now.
