but apparently they're out of business. Are pectin eggs any better than the others? What do you say?

(78,249 posts)although the owner is apparently a right-wing pig; Jelly Belly was supposedly the jelly bean of choice for noted aficionado St. Raygun.

(23,340 posts)Staffers can use the boxes in the different theaters when the president is not using it. This was during Bill Clinton's time in the White House. I went with a friend on the White House staff to a couple of productions.
There is a little anteroom with a fridge in it. All that is kept stocked in there was jelly beans and Korbel splits of champagne in a special presidential labeling.
The box was surprisingly unglamorous, though when one sits in it, one gets ogled by everyone else in the theater that assumes that the occupant must be a Washington power.
Edit to add: there were also special presidential M&Ms, of the peanut variety. Maybe that is from Carter.
Not much of a meal, though.

(11,843 posts)I can find Russell Stover's around Easter at local grocery chains, but there is a specialty produce/butcher store in my neighborhood that carries Abdallah (MN candy maker) Pectin Jelly beans year round.
Only problem is that I was diagnosed Type II diabetic last fall...
