I'd probably take my hoodie down inside anyway just because it's uncomfortable unless it's REALLY cold in there and I'd pull my pants up just to keep them from falling down.. But don't TELL me how to wear my clothes. Worry about preparing your food well and I'll worry about my clothes.

I'll talk to whoever I want however I want. My phone conversation is no more distracting to the next table over than their conversation is to me. Doesn't matter where the other half of the conversation is.

If I wasn't high as fuck I probably wouldn't want your food anyway.

I love sushi and it ain't generally cheap so I hope you can get someone else to enjoy that authoritarian stick up your ass because I'm headed down the street by now.

Except for the marijuana, natch...

It's not the same as 'no shirt, no shoes, no service'.

It's more like 'only shirts we like, only shoes we like, and maybe we'll condescend to serve the worthless person we deem you to be.'.

I wouldn't know whether to be annoyed or humiliated.

Having suffered some nasty humilations in my life, I have no wish to inflict them on others...

I think having a reasonable standard of dress for a nice restaurant is okay.

Wouldn't a "jackets required" do the trick? As for the cell phones - they could use a sign like this - (which I actually found at a restaurant supply webpage but the image was too big to post):

9. Many restaurants have the no cell phone sign hanging as you walk in the door.

I think the sign they have is in poor taste. I wouldn't spend a dime there.

and I'm not one of the people it was directed to. I'm not one of the most tactful people anyway - this sign could have been written by me!
