Hello kitty! What's a tiger doing on the freeway?!

http://www.sfgate.com/weird/article/Hello-kitty-What-s-a-tiger-doing-on-the-6877444.php

That wasn't not the roaring of an engine that motorists heard Tuesday on a jammed expressway in Doha, Qatar.

A video shows a juvenile tiger with a broken chain attached to his collar nonchalantly trotting against the traffic and weaving past idling cars.

The cub apparently escaped from a man who is keeping the cat as a pet. It was not clear if the man had been driving on the highway when the tiger took off.

A second video, posted on Facebook, shows a man — presumably the cat's caretaker — reaching under a vehicle that the runaway cub climbed under. He drags the cat out by the chain and then scratches its head.

I've heard of putting a tiger in your tank, but this is ridiculous!

Dumb Tiger. Doesn't he see the traffic? It's at a standstill. He'll never get to work on time now. Yavin4 Mar 2016 #1

Keeping these beautiful animals as chained "pets" should be illegal the world over.

It is illegal for residents to keep exotic and/or wild animals as pets in Qatar, and those who do could face substantial fines and short jail terms. But despite the inherent dangers in keeping animals like lions and tigers, enforcement of the law remains lax.
