but this is what makes this tournament so unique - David does beat Goliath sometimes.

I root for Yale because they're my local team...but I root against UConn. I've hated them for as long as I remember.

...so that sort of forces me to root for them...LOL...Dad died in 1977--he'd have been thrilled by their emergence as a major basketball power...

Two years ago, they were a nothing program. This year Tage Thompson is expected to go in the 1st round of the NHL draft. There are long-term NCAA Div. I programs that have made it to the Frozen Four and never had a player taken in the 1st round of the NHL draft.

I'm more of a hockey fan than basketball admittedly.

(They're still no Quinnipiac though. I think it's hilarious that most people nationally can't tell you anything about the school...including what state it's in, but if they know anything, they know that they were a preseason favorite to win the NCAA D-I hockey championship...but still not what state QU would be taking the trophy home to.)
