(13,770 posts)I've got an idea to make this a 5th Infantry machine.
As for slogans, I managed to find the decal sheet from Revell's 1:35 M48 Patton on Ebay a while back. It's got some great stuff, even a couple peace signs..

(66,487 posts)I guess the firewall and the infantry compartment benches are next. I can tell by the steering laterals that this is a pre-M113A3 model.
My father hated the 113; I suppose most Vietnam Veterans did; Vietnam was completely the wrong environment for the 113. However, I drove my share of 113A3's when I worked for Battalion Ops in Germany; terrific vehicle; I loved it. Awesomely reliable.
And the Israelis, who dubbed their 113's 'Zelda', revere the machine the way the Russians love their T-34 tank.

(3,065 posts)Mine was configured as an ambulance. Two stretchers were stacked on the left side behind the TC. This model is missing the foot peg for the driver on the side of the treadwell. We used the M-577 as a battalion aid station.
