Two more outside projects and the exterior of the home will be nice for a while.

Seal coating the driveway and I have a jungle growing along one side of the house that needs chopped down. Probably about ten years ago, the jungle was a nice flower bed. Some of the perennials are still there, but it has really gotten out of hand with wild stuff.

I'm getting estimates to take care of both of them. I'm definitely going to have the driveway professionally done. Depending on how much they want to take care of the jungle, I may take care of that myself. I've been working about 50 hours a week, though, so it would probably have to be ridiculously high for me to do it myself.

I got my lawn mower back yesterday so I'm finally going to be putting some money back into to my pocket instead of shelling it out. I've been paying to have the lawn mowed for a while. The mower wouldn't start last year and I didn't really want to mow the lawn anyway. A neighbor guy said he would do it for us and he has been ever since then. A new carburetor and an oil change was $89. It will pay for itself in a month or so.

I have a few more projects for the interior of the house. There is some water damage on the wall above our fireplace that occurred when the flashing around our chimney was leaking. The leak has been repaired now we just have to fix the wall. I'm going to be doing that myself. I have some experience with that sort of thing. And we need to shampoo the carpet. I'm going to do that one myself, too.

The only other thing that's wrong with the place is that the dishwasher is on the blink. It has been for a couple of years. We've been washing the dishes by hand, and since it's usually just the two of us it really isn't that much of a chore to do it that way. I might look into dishwashers when we have some more savings built up.
