Saying goodbye to my sweet ride

That is Vahana, chariot of the gods who has condescended to transport me for 3 years.

Man, I will miss this beast. As far as we know it came to India from Kenya, but the provenance is shaky. Having driven it, I assume it killed its handlers, broke free from its tie-downs, and swam the Indian ocean.

Sold it today to a British diplomat (tax laws really limit who we can and can't sell it to). I'm going to miss this guy.

Also, it's having a tire changed at this point, which is why the spare isn't on the black post on the back door.

I'm more of a fan for the goofy mule type (VW Vanagon Syncro), but I do know how you feel.

I had my first car, a 1988 Chevy Nova, until 2007. I donated it to charity, and I stood at the window as it was being towed away until I couldn't see it anymore. I hope the whatever parts they could cull were put to good use.

Always will have a soft spot for that little car.
