Call the doggone FLORIST and order the ROSES ... STAT. If they don't have any, get a massive display of exotic flowers, the flashier, the better, to be delivered today. Pay extra.

You've got internet--quickly quickly--there's no time!!!!!!

it's other issues - my sig kind of illustrates them.

I started this thread as a lighthearted joke, but I might delete it since I don't want it to turn into something else

Make her a card, and write her a love poem.

That'll do it, probably better than anything else. She obviously knows your financial circumstances; she'll understand!

Cut out the picture of something really nice from a magazine and put it in a card and put them in an envelope and write "Future anniversary present" on it.

Have fun with it since being poor is really no fun at all. You could cut out the picture of a car or a house or a picture of a sunset on the beach or any number of things.

of Colorado or NYC. She really wants us to have a vacation. She would love to revisit her experiences in Colorado, or head to NYC and meet my 82-year-old mom. We haven't really seen each other since the 70's and just reconnected last week.

You could both have a wonderful afternoon of happy fantasies. It would easily be the one anniversary you'll never forget and it might go down as the best one you ever had.
