and have your friend cut straight across at whatever length you want. What kids will do when bored! My friend and I gave eachother shag cuts that way when were preteen. Of course hers turned out and mine didn't quite look the same because she had straight hair and mine was curly. Cutting it just made it curlier - not bad, just not exactly what I envisioned
