I nominate this one http://www.democraticunderground.com/120422985#post2
It started out as a 3 post thread back in 2012 with real DUers then months down the road all these brand new members all of sudden are communicating and replying to each other. They all seem to be bots strangest thread I've seen on DU.

(14,274 posts)That was on the previous version of DU. It started in 2008, I think. I haven't seen if for a few years. Perhaps it died.

(29,322 posts)I think I remember one titled as well as kudzu but I have no idea what it means, didn't understand the kudzu jokes.

(29,322 posts)I know what it is but not what the jokes referenced. Before my time I joined July 2008, I remember kudzu like the olive garden or the corn flake chicken thread. I could be misremembering.

(14,274 posts)Some old timers will attest.

(29,322 posts)I've seen that phrase here a lot never knowing what people were talking about.

(17,434 posts)I read this old thread a few years ago in the Lounge and book marked it in my browser. I just get an error message when I try to retrieve it. I believe it was in the archives.
Does anybody recall it?

(23,656 posts)They're one post wonders because they really aren't here for the web site.

(29,322 posts)If it was just a few I'd think that but 30 + new posters all discussing which recruiting site they're likely spam bots imo especially after reading.

(14,565 posts)That was very welcome and memorable because my mom died a couple of weeks earlier. Just seeing the words "Never dies" in a header was a positive uplift.
Mom was a big believer in life after death. I am not. I believe in one and done. It simply makes the most sense, and I always default to more likely than not.
But I honor her position -- just in case -- and visit the cemetery every Sunday afternoon to have a long talk with her, including current events. Lately she gets a political update on Hillary's standing. It makes me feel good, anyway.
