For me, though, I admit it's kind of a prestige thing. I've been here for fifteen years and one month. I don't plan on ever leaving. And I've seen a lot of friends come and go in those years. (10,109 posts)It took some resources to get the site back up I'm sure. I missed this place incredibly during the week. I felt and still feel rather alone. People I work with were all happy and I've been sulking. I also come to DU for real news.
Yes, the ads would drive me nuts.

(24,054 posts)That is such a kind offer. She has indicated that her budget is not so limited that she could not manage the $1 minimum, so I think she will be signing up.
