How much is a star membership?

A friend wants to know, and I cannot remember. Do IIRC that it used to be whatever you felt able to give, no matter how small. My friend is on a fixed income.

It's worth it, if only to avoid the ads.

For me, though, I admit it's kind of a prestige thing. I've been here for fifteen years and one month. I don't plan on ever leaving. And I've seen a lot of friends come and go in those years. I'm an old-timer. And, as James Carville said of his loyalty to Bill Clinton and the Democratic Party, I'm STICKIN'...

It took some resources to get the site back up I'm sure. I missed this place incredibly during the week. I felt and still feel rather alone. People I work with were all happy and I've been sulking. I also come to DU for real news.

Yes, the ads would drive me nuts.

This year at my annual renewal will go as big as I can.

I never truly appreciated how much this site means to me before this.

Been here since 2001. Hardly ever post, but comment on posts or relay articles found by others.

Missing N2doc and the toons now.

That is such a kind offer. She has indicated that her budget is not so limited that she could not manage the $1 minimum, so I think she will be signing up.

If I am mistaken, I will surely let you know.
