Oliver Stone's Untold History of the United States

I have been watching it on Netflix the last 3 nights and highly recommend it. This program follows all the wars
the US has been in since before WWII. It tells how US corporations actually backed and supplied Hitler in WWII.
How they have been the driving force in every war we have been in since. He talks about one person I have never even
heard of, Henry Wallace, he was a progressive like a Bernie Sanders that backed labor unions, civil rights and
the average working man. In 1944 he got 95% of the vote at the Democratic convention but the Democratic establishment
nominated Harry Truman instead that only had 2% of the vote. It is like from that point on the US has increasingly become
more right wing ever since. I mean you watch that series a Donald Trump seems like the natural progression towards fascism.
That show gives me chills, it is scary.

2. Yes but Truman shortly became president. Have you watched the series?

Wallace was the architect of the New Deal programs, the CCC, WPA and NRA.
