When I saw the promos early this year I thought it would it would be an awful show but someone convinced me to see it because they really liked the movie and it exceeded my expectations by far.
I can't think of a better season finale especially for a first season or a brilliantly written show than WW.
The season finale blew my away (though many people saw the William thing coming, I honestly didn't know the MIB wasn't a robot.) When the 30 year younger William found the robot he fell in love with she was at the beginning of her loop with no memory of their experiences.
There were many things I didn't pay much attention to that were key in the finale like the town massacre, or much of the whole Wyatt thing. This show requires quite a bit of attention to detail. I'll have to rewatch the whole season.
I also had little interest in Ford's new narrative only to find out it was already in play. The obsession of the maze I couldn't figure what might be there. I was guessing an entrance to the real world. In the beginning robots were claiming Arnold was giving them instructions when it was actually their own voice which was the center of the maze. Consciousness. Delores flashbacks and stuff were very confusing as well as many parts of the show but they all came full circle in the finale.
Maeve is an interesting character, she made her own choice in the end like Delores did too, I couldn't quite figure him out.
I could go into detail on a lot of things but felt bad for the robots, now they turned the tables on the humans in an ending I didn't see coming.
