Library of Congress, noon today.

DC is a knockout at Christmas. The city is never lovelier.

I have a few favorite interiors that I try to visit every year. They are the Library of Congress Great Hall, the Rotunda at the West (Main) Building of the National Gallery of Art, and, my absolute favorite, the lobby of the Willard Hotel.

I walked over to the Library of Congress today. I took my Samsung SGH-I497 tablet with me. The place was jammed.

I had a thread from last year too. I'll find that and post the link here.

I ran the pictures through https://postimage.org/ to get them online.

Same thing but different. This is a small crowd for that room.

you can barely make out the star on the tree. The people are looking at it.

I'm facing ENE WNW, in the direction of the U.S. Capitol.

Lines can be long to get into the LOC, so I went through the scanner at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center and walked through the pedestrian tunnel to the LOC underneath 1st Street. I guess at that point it was both 1st Street NE and 1st Street SE.

I think I'm facing SE in this one.
