I do some of all of these except for sports/outdoor (I have some games on my iPad), but music is my first love. My last two purchases were Joshua Radin's The Fall and the Corrs' White Light. Both are excellent! So happy to see the Corrs back performing together.

(1,213 posts)...I just don't get a chance to watch them unless I'm at someone's house who has Cable or Netflix or hulu. I've moved a lot the last 11 years or so, and I've given away and lost track of most of my boxed dvd series sets, such as "Arrested Development", "The Tudors", and others
Most of my down-time is spent on the computer, finding music I want to hear. When I do housework I always have music cranked. When I go to sleep, I like to listen to music, or sometimes Coast to Coast radio. When I'm in a car, there is always music on, usually music my daughter chooses.
The last show I really enjoyed was "Nurse Jackie" I didn't discover it until about 1 1/2 years ago). Before that it was a strange show called "Fortitude".

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
Fortitude is a British psychological thriller television series created and written by Simon Donald. A 12-episode series was commissioned by Sky Atlantic in 2013, and started airing on 29 January 2015.[1][2][3] The series is set in the fictional Arctic Norwegian settlement of Fortitude. On 9 April 2015, Sky Atlantic recommissioned the show for a second series consisting of 10 episodes,[4] which premiered on 26 January 2017.[5]
Location[edit]
Fortitude is a fictional community located on Svalbard in Arctic Norway. It is described as an international community, with inhabitants from many parts of the world (population of 713 inhabitants and 4 police officers).[6] The series was filmed in both the UK and in Reyðarfjörður, Iceland.[7][8]
Casting[edit]
American actor Stanley Tucci appears in his first British television role as Detective Chief Inspector Morton from London's Metropolitan Police, who has flown to the peaceful close-knit community of Fortitude, as the local sheriff, played by Richard Dormer, investigates a violent murder. Christopher Eccleston plays Charlie Stoddart, a British scientist who leads the arctic biology department at the Fortitude arctic research facility. Michael Gambon portrays Henry Tyson, a wildlife photographer who is dying of cancer.[9] The Killing star Sofie Gråbøl plays the governor of Fortitude in her first UK television drama role.[10]
Apparently they just started airing a second series of shows. I've been waiting!
Now I just have to figure out where to watch it-I might have to get Cable until Spring.

(21,865 posts)I think it was the very last episode, when the wasps started spewing forth from her mouth. I thought that was over the top and it ruined what I thought was a fantastic series. Loved the atmosphere, the actors, everything..... up until that exact point. I wasn't aware there was a second series. I will probably check it out.....

mostly miniature gaming or board gaming, currently I am working on a miniature age of sail pirate game for an upcoming game convention in June. I went to one local board game MeetUp group in November and will have to give it another try. Picked up a card based game named Splendor which is fun.
Also enjoy photography (orchid show at the botanical garden starts this weekend, so I will be going soon) and genealogy.

(23,222 posts)I get profound enjoyment from studying the great games of top masters--never cease to be amazed at the brilliance and creativity they show in demostrating why they are at the top of the heap. It's very relaxing and gives me time to shut out some of the crapola that goes on in the world outside.

(2,302 posts)That is my great love. I make clothes, quilts, small things like bags and totes and wallets.
And my husband took up stamp collecting just last year. Now THAT is an amazing hobby, because he will delve into a country and then start learning about the history and the art on the stamps.
