(41,757 posts)same here..I live in New Mexico.I am so worried about my renter....he works until midnight today and may not get home. All I can do is hope that the storm moves in later than predicted.

(41,757 posts)The roads were *really* bad after yesterday's snow.
Everyone was slipping and sliding.
My 4WD barely got me there.
ugh
get hot water in advance.

(70,504 posts)When do expect the snow to start?
One idea is to put down some "ice melt" product before it snows and then get the
machine fixed.

(41,757 posts)I like snow storms - but shoveling this one will suck.
Botany
(70,504 posts)It will make the clean up much easier. How much snow do you expect
and what temps?

(14,400 posts)Look for the bag of stuff that came with it. In addition to the manuals there will probably be a spare shear pin or two. My Cub Cadet has 2 spare pins on the dashboard between the handles.

(111,255 posts)You do have my condolences. I just hope it's not that heavy, wet stuff that causes people to keel over from heart attacks. That stuff is horrible, especially the third time the plow comes through and reburies the car you just dug out.
The only part of big snowstorms I ever enjoyed was watching the cats.

(11,094 posts)My shovel still works, but it's no picnic. Today I did only half the driveway....about 50 feet. Ran out of steam with about 65 more feet to go in order to reach the road. Tomorrow is a new day. Good luck to you.

(41,757 posts)I didn't see any obstructions - sounds like something major

(16,199 posts)You may need to tip it on the chute and take the transmission plate off. Normally blowers are belt or friction wheel driven.
