I see the latest news and feel like crying in anger frustration and shame for belonging to the same species as Conservatives of all nations.
Some days I just can't look at any news, Calais mayor denies food to refugees (oh sorry "immigrants" Trump campaign's contact with the Russians being swept under the carpet and Pence and his AOL account. Just a few examples.
My Dad is one of those people continually shocked/disbelieving people who sort of can't bring himself to accept that 'Ordinary' people do this/let this happen, but they do. He also believes deep down, I think, that things will work out for the best. I have a somewhat darker view.
Sorry, just had to vent a little.

(236 posts)There are some days that I just can't face the news. It scares the heck out of me to even think about what this country might look like in 4 years.
I have also upped my consumption of alcohol.

(2,533 posts)We are using foul language and venting and expressing our very real concerns here and I'm very grateful to be here. There are some days though when I am really really in bad shape from all of the worry. Some asshole Republican on another site I read is over there laughing and saying that we dems are going to be griping for the next 8 years Trump is president and the next 16 years the republicans are in power. I wanted to vomit .
I hope it gets better for you and all of us.

Sometimes, "ordinary people" can see the whole picture.
