I will pass on hitting the play button.

I am a pediatric nurse practitioner and I have a solemn promise to myself that I try very hard to keep - I will talk about poop at work, where I am paid to do so, but not when I am out of the office.

I worked in a care facility a few years ago and it took some getting used to overhearing the nurses and health care aides forever discussing patients' bowel movements while I was trying to wolf down a sandwich or some reheated lasagna.

...who seem to have good senses of humor, I usually say, "If someone had told you 3 weeks ago, before your baby arrived, that you would be comfortable talking about poop at the dinner table, you would have said, "No way!" They all laugh, and say, "You know - that's all we talk about. "How much? What color? When was the last one?"

Some years ago, I ran into one of our patient families in the produce sedtion of the grocery store. The mom greeted me enthusiastically, and announced, "We have something to tell you!" I thought perhaps she was pregnant for a third time. Noooooooooooo. The big news - "We're potty training!" Now why she thought that was an appropriate topic for public conversation in a place where people are shopping for food is beyond me. I didn't particulary want to hear it, and I am quite sure none of the other customers did either.

There were so many visual aids handy to show you the approximate shape of the BMs with any form to them.

it still grossed me out.

What parents would allow their kids to be portrayed as literally eating shit and having their mouths wiped with TP?!

Potty jokes aside, the footrests are very common in many Asian homes. You can buy them on Amazon. They really do make a difference.

Making sure you bring their knees up into a squat, even though they are lying down. Makes it easier for them to pass gas and poop. Easier for them, easier for me.

I try to avoid commercials so I hadn't seen this, but I've heard of squatty potty from podcasts.
Such a weird-ass commercial though... I actually think it's hilarious, I love it in an odd way.

But I am a weirdo, so consider the source lol

Considering the product, there's no way they could do a normal commercial, so I guess they decided to go maximum goofy.
