(56,828 posts)The first half had some great moments, but they were moments in 8 hours of TV. The second half has done some good build up to the big war to come, I think.

(90,778 posts)Just tired of all the dying. Odd to say, I know.
Tired of the good people dying. I think I'm going through a phase.
If Eugene isn't acting and is all in with the Saviors, though - I'm OK with him dying. He wouldn't be one of the good guys.

(56,828 posts)I think he feels safe and needed with Negan and his crew. Just like he was safe in Alexandria until Negan came along

(90,778 posts)I don't care what he does to redeem himself, if anything.
As soon as someone comes along that he the thinks can better protect him, you'd have to worry how quick he will turn on you.
Yeah, he's a coward and yeah, that's his nature.
But then Gregory is only acting out his nature. As is Negan. So, if I am to excuse Eugene his nature... (and I'm not)
I don't think Sasha swallowed the pill. Not yet anyway. But she did tell Eugene that she can't help Negan hurt their friends. Something Eugene doesn't have any problem doing. Fortifying the walkers by plating them in metal is helping Negan and making any assault harder to accomplish.
Negan said he knew Rick was up to something. Who told him? Dwight? Eugene? Spies we haven't seen yet?
Dwight hates Negan so...and in the comics. Well, if you've read them you know.
Gregory didn't like it when the worker called Maggie "Boss Lady".
I think the women who want to fight should just leave with Rick and his group.
I think Dwight went back with Rosita and she told him he had to sit in the cell until Rick's return. Good faith measure ad all that...and better to be safe than sorry.
Dwight could very well have been stunned to see someone from Rick's group so close to the compound and in that second Rosita got the drop on him. But then Dwight could easily have wanted to talk to Rick anyway, so being her prisoner was OK with him.
I dunno.
I appreciate Negan's punishment for rape except I think if you force women to be your "wife" for better treatment that you are also a rapist. It's still all coercion. Fear is fear. A threat is a threat. Negan is a rapist and by his own laws, should be put to death.

wasting half the show at Hilltop watching Maggie dig up a shrub? I dont care
I know, they gonna save every big moment for next week's finale, then stuff it all in the last 20 min
well, most of it, I expect more cliffhangers

(3,051 posts)A "great" dictator is like this: handing out boons with one hand and punishments with the other.
For instance, Hitler liked dogs and had great social programs. He made the trains run on time. Very personable, clever, and funny.
Negan is the same, writ small.

(3,051 posts)Is the use of fully automatic weapons to kill walkers in a time of ammunition shortage.
Full auto is for suppressive fire, or at least it was 70 years ago when I had personal knowledge about such things. It also makes a precise shot (i.e., the head) much harder, as the weapon jerks around.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)they had enough people there that swords, axes, machetes, etc could have handled the walkers...bullets for high powered automatic weapons are an ever dwindling commodity.
