Why do some people love to draw pictures of demons?

Saw a guy's pictures on Saturday at a cookout. Good art, but....why do some people
love to draw pictures of demons? Pictures of a creature that's a man chest up, a snake
the rest of the way.

to draw?

That's also why you see a lot of drawings of people with their hands behind stuff - their backs, in a pocket, etc...

I haven't drawn in a couple decades so it's probably even worse now.

I recently bought some pencils and a couple art pads and some fine markers for pen and ink stuff (without using actual pens and ink - what a mess that shit was!) and did a little scribbling and realized how much I've forgotten and how out of practice I am. I used to could draw a circle. now i can draw a lump. I might keep at it though and see if i can get back into it...I'm glad Steerpike is posting his drawings. It's giving me the bug to draw again.

demons can be drawn many ways and they can look very beautiful. They are fun to draw.
I draw anthropomorphic creatures, felines and demons as well as strange angels.
BTW Demon comes from the word Damon.Christianity perverted the definition.
\In Greek myth, a daemon is an intermediate spirit between men and Gods. Daemons such as the one who guided Socrates act as councilors and guardians to human beings. Damons are messengers or protective spirits.

(Kind of what christians describe as un-fallen angels)

But like all pagan things that require a bit of nuance to understand the monotheists(christianity, islam& judaism) either mangle the meaning or steal the customs,Christians are especially ruthless in their insane attempts to convert the world.Alot of the world's culture, art, knowledge and mythologies were lost stolen, twisted or co-opted because of christianity.

Do I look like a Demon to you?

Not trying to be historically accurate. One of my freinds said I resembled Ptah.So someone I know who is chosen by Thoth, thought I did a pretty good appearance considering the rush job and limited materials for a costume.

I agree,Ptah IS THE creator as far as I'm concerned.
I was born of Sekhmet. So I know plenty about Ptah, her consort in the" Memphis triad".

Some people might have a beef about Ptah as THE creator, some say GEB was creator,or RA.

Egyptians had various views on the Gods and who created what.
Likewise modern seekers on the Egyptian path will be called by different Gods.

Or they might see them as monsters or mythological creatures rather then demons.
