After a hard day of howling at something outside of the window, the three laborers end their day. Their contentment shields their anxiety for there's talk of automation coming to the howling business. Robots can howl all day without water or treats.

(9,527 posts)Mine was so bonded to me, my mom could put her outside, tell her to find me, and the dog would track me to where I was. She then wanted to be carried home because 4 inch legs.
She also was rather lazy and for a while refused to pick her front end up if she didn't have to. She'd just lift her back half and push. She ended up rubbing all the hair off her chest. It wasn't a physical thing as she would lift her chest as soon as she was off the carpet.
She and the cat had a weird symbiotic relationship. The 5 lb cat would try to bathe the 70 lb basset hound and the basset would kind of gnaw on the cat's neck. Never breaking the skin or hurting the cat in any way. Just covering her with slobber.
