(92,187 posts)Martin is never going to finish the last two books in the series
Also, I was getting a little tired of him killing off the main characters
Each to our own, but I have better ways to spend my time

(7,575 posts)and from what I have seen of the series on the Internet. the series doesn't interest me.

(18,490 posts)more Arya!
more Brienne of Tarth!
more Bronn!
more The Hound!
I began watching it for the first time in March, and I've watched the series through 3 times since then*.
*EXCEPT for the 'Ramsay torturing people' scenes. I've seen those once, which is more than enough, and now I fast-forward through those.

(51,311 posts)itself wears me out with its violence and vulgarity. It's clever enough, though.
I'd rather more seasons of "Foyle's War." They had a good thing going, but shortened the timeline prematurely.

(182,788 posts)I haven't ever watched it and I'm told I'll never be able to catch on. I'll just watch it as a curious viewer.

(12,157 posts)I read all of the Game of Throne books and couldn't wait for the last 2. Well it's a race as to who will die first of old age, Martin or me. Certainly one of us will go before he resolves the series. The TV show lost me when Martin lost the plot of his own books.

(34,108 posts)Read the books then listened to them. Did not want to watch so skipped the first year and a few of the second then gave up after hearing so much about it.
I will miss the 16th until I can get back into town, my son and his wife planned their "We got married and built a house" party for that evening. It will be a wonderful evening so.....but why the 16th?
LOL, thank goodness for the DVR and repeats.

(4,851 posts)I enjoy this show.
Can't wait to see how Jon reacts when he learns who his parents truly are. I suspect that he will learn soon, as I think Bran will be back in Winterfell early this season. At least I hope. I want Arya to get there and all of the living Starks to meet up.

(5,557 posts)Given the omission of Lady Stoneheart, there is a lot of room for an angel of death in the HBO version.

(4,851 posts)While I suspect her list gets shortened by the coming war, there are a few I hope she gets to kill. I am hoping she cuts off Payne's head. It would be fitting. Meilandre deserves something terrible, but I suspect she gets a reprieve, at least in the short term.
