To me, that expression is saying, "No, it's mine, you can't have it."

Possibly coupled with, "Would you taste as good?"

"Sharing" would be holding out the food for the cat, not watching the cat while eating.

The cat, of course, is alternating between thoughts: "I want that, it's mine, but can I take it from him?" and "When my food's done eating, maybe I'll be able to surprise it. But it is big, so probably not."

Still, it is cute.

then the cat takes a bite and the baby then takes a bite. Did you not see that or am I missing something?

The baby noticed that the cat was looking at the food and understood what it wanted. He responded in a way that was generous and kind.

I once found my cat on the top highest kitchen shelf, next to a package of croissants. Oh how the cats love their butter!

are both adorable!! Look at the rolls on the baby's legs! What a tempting baby to just pick up and cuddle. Beautiful blues eyes.

rolls.

She would have been in roll heaven with that baby.

And would have been jealous of the cat.
