I once had to tell a relative of my wife's that this was not true. They did not believe me until I found an article by a priest/reverend explaining it.

So, God had a belly button? Why? We are talking about the original God, the old testament one, not the replacement one in the new testament. I could see the new one having a belly button.

Eve wasn't created in the image of anything. She was created because god thought Adam needed a helper (I suspect he was playing with his penis too much and not getting anything done).

So the argument that god had a belly button is an interesting one, but it still doesn't explain why Eve had a belly button.

Maybe some ultradimensional thing of various shapes constantly creating chaos out of the void?

Just like he did when he buried all of those dinosaur bones all over the earth.

God is like Ashton Kutcher. He loves punking us.

Just because he is quite likely an imaginary being does not mean he does not follow the scientific process.
Eve in particular is nothing more than a sexually mutated clone.
So a truly authentic portrayal should look like creepy fraternal twins.

Maybe.

I dunno, a little chrome might be just what I need.
