We found an abandoned 100 year old hydro electric plant! Road Trip Day 3 Episode 5

On our way to Roughlock Falls, we saw a pretty intriguing sight – A Hydro Electric Plant that was built in 1917. This year is the 100th Anniversary of the building so we couldn’t resist stopping the car to explore it.

been an arrest. I bet there's a good chance the inside is similar to the day they shut it down. It's certainly well preserved. So often really neat places are left to the weather and vandals and all. I love looking at exploring on youtube, but it really breaks ones heart to see incredible places sometimes left to rot away.

I wish I could have seen the inside. My wife and I love exploring abandoned places; we recently visited a restaurant we used to love eating at that closed down seven years earlier. It was surprising to see how they just left so much in place - table cloths, salt and pepper shakers, all the chairs. It is heartbreaking. Hopefully, the place will be renovated.

Have you ever been to the Black Hills National Forest? It's located within Spearfish Canyon.

It might not be for another 20+ years, but I intend to retire and enjoy it. I don't have a literal bucket list yet, but I can see that happening down the road!
