(36,461 posts)1. How lovely!
I love Morning Glories. I've never seen this shade of purple, before. There's a farm not far from here, with a fence where gorgeous blue ones grow.

The morning I heard about the massacre in Las Vegas, I went to where I know a bunch of morning glories are and I took pictures of them.

I'm trying to look for a positive distraction, every single day. The cats insist that they should be sufficient.

They are quite hallucinogenic.
Long ago, like 45-50 years, you could buy the seed packets at the store,
go home, eat them, and trip. https://azarius.net/encyclopedia/5/Morning_Glory_Ipomoea_violacea/

(5,810 posts)10. We had some that were pale blue that appeared one day in our back yard.
The yard across the street has some undergrowth next to the lot where their house is located. There are tall pines, too. Every year, regular as clock work, those blue Morning Glories appear out of nowhere. So pretty and the color is just gorgeous! The vine goes across the undergrowth and up the pine trees. I am guessing the seeds for the ones in our back yard either blew over here or got brought over by a bird or two.
