The police just don't get it.

Police tell 9 year old you are acting like a child. She screams I am a child.
They pepper spray her. That will teach her.
The filthy cop gets out of the car and say "unbelievable". Yea it is unbelievable, that you pepper sprayed a CHILD.
How the fuck do we solve this on going stupidity by police.

This situation was a perfect example of why mental health experts need to be part of every police department. This CHILD was having a mental health crisis and the police made it way worse. I don't see how you can call yourself a human and not understand what that CHILD was going through.

2. Last year a family in my town called the police for their emotionally-disturbed son

who was having a mental health crisis. They came to the house a shot him dead. Good police work, I suppose.

6. I am guessing that was the Philadelphia case.

A gang of maybe 30 Philadelphia police recently broke every window in a car that had a young mother, a toddler and a teen in it. They drug the mother out of the car and beat her. Kidnapped her child. When she got the child back he had a large welt on his head. They beat the toddler.
She had done nothin wrong and no charges were ever filed. The biggest problem the police had is that someone was recording them.
I bet cops hate cameras.
Who knew that big brother watching would turn into us watching big brother.

9. We need to set up a system by which mental health experts will be available to assist police, and

police will be trained to know when a mental health expert is needed. In addition, they need to develop some more appropriate restraint methods for children. Handcuffs are harsh, and could injure a child who is acting out. Just wrapping a blanket around a kid to immobilize their arms and legs would help a lot.
