The GOP = "Conservative" = Reactionary = living in their limbic system = fight, flight, fear, freeze, feed me, and fornication.

They fear change, going back to childhood; they fight any form of change because it's different; they opted for flight to the suburbs and exurbs; they freeze emotionally and intellectually @ 7th grade; They cry out Feed me to the propagandists who spin fairy tales about the Other. They are obsessed with fornication likely because other people do it more often and better.

Their entire governing ideology is Ew. I don't like this, so you can't do it. How very egalitarian of them.

They are not true Christians. Fear is part of their religion along with hate for "others". They have never given up pushing their views.
