how are baseball cards doing these days?

i ended up w several thousand 60's-90's good cards in my divorce.
i was in a charity thrift store that had the stock of a card shop donated. i knew the hubs would dig it, so i called him and asked how many boxes.
i think i dragged home a dozen, then he went back and picked through.
we ended up w about 25 cases, like the cig carton size box x 4. no idea how many cards that is.

hubs went through them all, and sorted out the good ones. 6-7 cases.

i'd like to get them out of my way. i have asked a few people in the last couple years, but they say the market is shit. is it worse now?
what would you do w them?

1. How much headache do you want? Sell them piecemeal on EBay for years, or take a lower

number for lots. My hubby collects, mostly football and basketball. He’s still irritated over the worthless 90s cards that flooded the market. Just yesterday he bought boxes at a yard sale dirt cheap, but all the good cards had been pulled. Still there were a few worth having, and the kids and he enjoyed looking through them.

i'd be happy to dump the lot. more want them to go to someone who wants them.

What they go for at auction. Lots of online auction now that might take them. Just too many fakes and repo cards out there.

rookie cards of some greats. tom seaver was one, iirc.
some where he had a card for every year of a player's career.

pretty good stash of unopened packs, too.

i think. maybe 1 of the kids took them. my kids were spread out enough that between the 4 of them they had thousands.

i looked at ebay a bit. i'll keep my ears open.

i had a feeling this mess was gonna cause some waves.
