Artist, long time reader, first time poster

I am an artist/art instructor who has been a reader for the better part of the last 2 decades. I have a BFA in Painting and Printmaking, another in Art Education, a minor in Art History, and an MFA in painting. Much o f my work is political. Seems reasonable I should post some images here. That begs the question, how do you attach an image to your posts?

Posting images is not simple. Essentially, you have to save it to one of the online image sites first.

I'm sure someone else will explain it to you.

Since you might have a real portfolio, it seems that a good site that allows you to manage galleries.

I am not endorsing, but just passing along what my cousin, a professional artist, told me.

I want to encourage you to create a website of your photographs. You can limit the size of the mages you post so they will be difficult to steal. An image of 72 dpi and 1000 pixels on the wider side is not large enough to reproduce but plenty large for good visibility on line. I use Icompendium.com. It's an easy system to navigate, and the owner, Van Strokes, is available to help you get started if you don’t want to waste time trying to figure out its intricacies.

FWIW, contest images are limited to a bit under 1 megabyte in size here, though some folks with really high quality pix have posted 1.5 megabytes and even 2.5 megabytes in threads. If this is confusing, just ask in the photography group. Lots of friendly and helpful people there.

I’m particularly struck by the knitted monkey, the yarn work is wonderful, I feel like if I was being a bad monkey I could unravel him. The composition is striking and just really appeals to me. Once in a while I go the the art posts and scroll through to see if I missed anything when it was first posted. I’m so glad I did and saw your work.
