What beautiful surroundings. How could he resist?!

I love the eccentricity of his cigarette with it’s long ash dangling from his lips.

His paintings are so sublime. I would love to see them in person.

made in 1914. Good thing the actor Sasha Guitry was interested enough to include them in his film taking.

Monet's property and house in Giverny in Normandy is about an hour train ride from Paris and pure heaven to visit- the charming house, the bridges, ponds and breathtaking assortment of flowers, plants and natural marvels.

For anyone interested in art I can't recommend seeing Giverny in person high enough.

Wish I had checked it out earlier but at least I saw it one beautiful summer. The Rodin Museum in Paris is super for a visit, along with other plenty of other collections and sites.

severe rheumatoid arthritis. That’s amazing!

What painstaking work that Rodin did.

I’m so glad to see these films! Thanks to a forward looking filmographer. A minor thing, but wouldn’t it be nice if he showed the artwork in progress as it was when he took the film?

I always learn something new with your posts!
