'Seinfeld' Reunion? Jerry Seinfeld Says 'Something Is Going to Happen' Related to Divisive Ending

More than 25 years after the finale of “Seinfeld,” it seems the beloved sitcom might be getting a second ending. When asked if he liked the ending of “Seinfeld” during a stand-up set on Saturday night, Jerry Seinfeld told a Boston audience that he “has a little secret” about the finale of the show.

“Something is going to happen that has to do with that ending. It hasn’t happened yet,” Seinfeld said to big cheers. “Just what you are thinking about, Larry [David] and I have also been thinking about. So, you’ll see.”

In 2018, the comedian teased on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that a “Seinfeld” revival was “possible,” but he did not further elaborate.

In the finale of “Seinfeld,” Jerry (Seinfeld), Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), George (Jason Alexander) and Kramer (Michael Richards) are arrested and locked up in prison. More than 76 million people tuned in live, making it one of the most-watched television broadcasts in history, but the series’ final episode received quite a lot of backlash, with Seinfeld himself expressing regret over the ending in the years following.

Well I really hated the finale, but it's too late for a redo now. They should have done it ages ago.
Just let it go....

Loved the show, the ending, meh, but this long after, just not sure. However, if you ever get the chance to see Jerry's act do it. It was soooooooooooooooooooooooo good.

Peace

All the other characters have done ok for themselves, especially "Elaine" (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) who has three shows still running in syndication.

Richards has not. Jerry has tried to help Richards get his career back on track, and this may be another attempt, but I won't watch it if Richards is included.

And I was one of the early watchers of that show back in the '90s and was a huge fan. I haven't watched any episodes once since the "N-word" disaster.

You're absolutely right! For a short time he was the funniest character on the show. Then wham, he was nothing.

Didn't appeal to me.

Don't care what happens with this.

Still, thanks for sharing the info! It's good to know what's coming.
