The one to watch here is "Niagara" from 1953 and directed by Henry Hathaway, usually known for westerns but does an outstanding job with this thriller. Sadly, Monroe's roles didn't often giver her a chance to display what a good dramatic actress she was. Two films that display this missed aspect to her talent are the least known: "Niagara" and "The Misfits."

I hadn't seen it in a long time, but I was fairly certain it was in color, not black and white, and sure enough, last night Marilyn Monroe and her fellow cast members were there in full color.
