As an example, just before the "They've all come..." line, Wakeman plays a minor 6th of the 4th of the actial chord, whole Howe plays a 9th of the actual chord. Changes the mood to a darker one, for just a couple seconds.
Also, at the end of each first line of the verse, they both go minor.
Then that gear change around 4:30 in. With Bruford lagging the snare, it gives it funkiness, shortly followed by Howe playing Nashville links!
Gets super funky when Wakeman adds the clav at around 6 minutes in. They develop a great groove.
Then another very "Yes-ish" turn at around 9 & 1/2 minutes.
Cool ending, too.

The quoting by the bass of the main theme of West Side Story's 'America'? Happens at approx 1:40 mark.
I ve heard this track many times, but only the other day heard that surprising bit, so great! Every time I listen to Yes compositions, I hear something I missed before.
