The Johnny Cash Show only lasted 58 episodes, between 1969 to 1971

But it is a gold mine of guest performances.

Of course the old school country artists were coming by - Merle haggard Buck Owens and Chet Atkins were familiar faces for country fans in those years and came on the show multiple times.

But Johnny was a Rocker and a rebel in his day and a badass throughout his life.

He didn't shy away from loud hippie looking rockers or performers that most Nashville venues would never consider on his show

If you can find the DVD collection, it's well worth the investment...just amazing
