Yesssssssssssssssssssssssss, fuckin finally.
Fifteen artists were nominated for the honor but only seven acts ended up being recognized for having contributed over 25 years of musical experience.
Jackson was selected along with Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Roxy Music, The Zombies, Def Leppard, and The Cure.
The inductees will be formally honored to the Hall of Fame during a ceremony on March 29, 2019 at New York Citys Barclays Center.

OP
I think it's hard to make yourself distinctive in the jackson family, but she managed.

Plus she's co-produced and co-written so much of her work. I rate her really high ( without her there would be no beyonce in my view) And Control and Velvet Rope are strong albums.

Rather than the softer lovey dovey albums that came later in the 90s
Although I do feel that Velvet Rope is gorgeous

Doesn't move me like Control. You got a point about the funk tho, even tho I do like this track's melody.

(10,173 posts)6. I just read up some more on how Les Moonves sabotaged her career...
just wow.
https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2018/09/les-moonves-janet-jackson
Moonves essentially blacklisted Jackson from Viacom, the report says: he ordered all of the companys radio stations, as well as its television networks VH1 and MTV, not to play Jacksons music. Per HuffPost, that decision tanked album sales for Jacksons 2004 album, Damita Jo, which went on sale only a month after the Super Bowl. Even seven years later, Moonves reportedly hadnt let the incident go; Ali reports that when Jackson signed a book deal with CBS-owned book publisher Simon & Schuster, he began fuming anewand demanded to know, How the fuck did she slip through? He reportedly told one source that he would retaliate against whoever was responsible for the decision, but its unclear whether that ever happened.

he really is despicable/deplorable.
