They clearly hadn't found their easy-listening sound at this point, this is rough. I'm impressed by anyone who can sing and play drums simultaneously, but she was wise to focus on the vocals later.

Singer Karen Carpenter was #BornOnThisDay, March 2, 1950. A successful top singing star she battled #anorexia nervosa, passing in 1983 (age 32) from heart failure caused by complications related to her illness. Her death led to increased visibility & awareness. #RIP #GoneTooSoon
